Match report: Ballynahinch United 1 – 2 Portavogie Rangers

Saturday saw football return to The Millbridge after last week’s late postponement. A strong Portavogie side made the trip to Ballynahinch, a team who got the better of ‘hinch last season.

Annual Dinner and Awards 2023-2024

Ballynahinch United held their annual awards dinner at Spa Golf Club on Saturday evening.

Club Chairman Gilbert Cromie welcomed those present and thanked committee, players, supporters and sponsors for all their hard work during what had been a successful season for both United and Swifts teams.

Match report: B United 2 – 3 Portavogie Rangers

It was a slow start for Ballynahinch when they found themselves kicking off half an hour late due to a road traffic accident, and just 4 minutes later, United found themselves behind when Portavogie Rangers took the lead from a corner.

Ballynahinch United returned to The Millbridge for the first time since the end of September following a series of flooding and work to the pitch and car park.

Match report: St Matthews 3 – 1 B United

Ballynahinch went to face league leaders St Matthews for the first time.

St Matthews, unbeaten, kept the ball well on the 3G pitch but United’s defence never looked threatened with Scott Brashaw and Chris Coleman holding strong, restricting the home side to long range shots.
