Match Report: Ballywalter 0 – 2 B United

United travelled to Ballywalter for their next league game.

The home side had an early opportunity with Ballynahinch slow to start on a hot day.

But the visitors worked their way into the game and soon took the lead after some neat play on the right which found Graeme McMullan in the box to finish emphatically.

United dominated the rest of the half with Sam Lurring impressive in defence and attack.

In the second half, Thomas Rodgers was fouled in the box. David Kelly made no mistake with the penalty to double United’s lead.

United managed the remainder of the game well, with chances for Sam Lurring, David Kelly and Ethan Majury but the score line remained the same, while Stefan Graham claimed well from set pieces to keep a clean sheet.

Alan Patterson replaced Graeme to make his first United appearance since March 2020, and was unlucky not to score a header.

Ballywalter were fortunate to finish the game with 11 with off-the-ball incidents, dangerous tackles and second bookable offences going unpunished.

A good performance, result and clean sheet on a sweltering day.
