Match Report: Bangor Amateurs 4 – 3 Ballynahinch United

Ballynahinch United travelled to Bangor Amateurs for the Border Cup first round tie.

United took the lead after Richard Annett was fouled in the box. David Kelly slotted home the penalty kick.

Bangor fought back and scored two in quick succession but Ballynahinch equalised again before the end of the half when a long kick from Stefan Graham was misjudged by a defender who looped his header into the net.

After the break, United found themselves ahead almost immediately when Thomas Rodgers found the net at the second attempt.

A well-worked goal from Bangor drew the sides level once more.

The away side were then reduced to ten with Ethan Majury dismissed.

Bangor took advantage with a last-minute winner to add their name into the hat for the next round.
