Saturday 11 December
Work and family committments saw Dale Davidson forced to take a depleted Ballynahinch squad to Greyabbey to face top of the league, Rosemount Rec.
Undettered, United battled well and playing against the wind had chances to score when Ian McMullan hit the bar from outside the box after a finger-tipped save from the goalkeeper.
The United defence put their bodies on the lining, throwing themselves to block every shot while Stefan Graham made another excellent save to keep the scores level.
Rosemount were lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch after a late and high challenge on Harry Bell was only deemed a yellow.
With the score at 0 – 0 at half time, United came back out in the second half an threatened again. Scott Cheevers broke through and lobbed the goalkeeper only to see it cleared off the line at the last moment.
Shortly after, the referee awarded the home side a penalty which gave them the lead. United worked hard and threatened throughout but tired and fell further behind when the home team scored twice on the break to remain unbeaten.
