Match report: Killough II 2 – 5 Ballynahinch United Swifts

The first team fixture against Orangefield OB was postponed after the referee was reassigned to a different game.

But the Swifts kicked off their campaign with an impressive performance win against Killough II.

It was Killough who took the lead however with an early goal.

Debutant Jonny Dickson scored twice in quick succession after half an hour but at half time the score was level.

An own goal gave United the lead again on the hour mark while Diarmuid Lavery added another to give the Swifts a two goal cushion.

Jonny Dickson completed a perfect hattrick to make it 5.

Thomas Casement came off the bench to make his club debut.

However, in the second half they couldn’t take advantage of having an extra man, and the game petered out.
