Ballynahinch United travelled to Larne to face high-flying Willowbank in the first round of the Clearer Water Irish Cup.
The 1A’s sides quality showed early on when they took the lead after 10 minutes.
Their free-flowing football proved too much for United as Willowbank increased the lead.
United stuck together and battled through the second half, keeping the ball well but never threatened much in attack.
One positive of the afternoon was the senior debuts for Kyle Steenson and Callum Greene who both came through from Ballynahinch Youth.
Anthony Greene came off the bench to join his son, Callum for a Father – Son combination.
